Glad you're ok. Now will you buy another BMW because of this?

Wow cattman, glad you're O.K.!

Some have suggested taking a BMW driving school. It then reminded me of a *special invite* from BMW NA that offered a free one day BMW driving class if I bought a BMW. I believe offered at their South Carolina location. Well, I bought an E60, and I'm going to look for that offer letter now.

Did anyone else get this offer.

Again, I'm glad you're O.K. cattman.

CoolTones--- the driving school experience is free if you get your car delivered at the Performance Center. I have my experience later this month---I'll let you know how it goes.

From what I understand, it's a bit less than the normal driving school experience but great nonetheless. I know Rudy has done this---maybe he can chime in.

Yeah, the Performance Center Delivery on-track experience is great for people who have never attended any driving schools but it isn't as extensive as other dedicated track days. (Then again, when has anyone ever gone on a track day and felt like they had too much track time?)

I recommend it for everyone -- even if it's a little light on track time...

Cattman, glad to hear you're fine...I've been in similar situations having been broadsided in an intersection by someone running a red, and being rear-ended and totalled when I was at a complete stop. The first accident was not in a bmw...though I came out o.k. The second was in a brand new 3 Series when I was rear ended at a dead stop by a drunk driver coming at 70 mph! Fortunately all four of us in my car were wearing seatbelts. The drunk guy hit us so hard he totalled my car and made me hit the car in front of me and totalled that car! I can't vouch enough for bimmers since then! (Funny, now I can laugh as we were just returning home on X-mas eve from seeing a movie called "Scrooged"! Does anyone remember that?!)

What is your location........
I am in Alpharetta, GA, and this happened on Windward Parkway. If you know anyone who drives a black F350, please ask them to be more careful.

Pics? My car is fine, looks good in fact. When I got home I washed it, lol! Probably nervouse energy, and being thankful. I may be in need of an alignment and new wheels/tires. I can try to post some tomorrow morning.

I have done the exact thing heading down Deerfield and having someone come out from Morris Road. Looks like there are at least 3 of us from Alpharetta!
