My Ride: 2005 545i Orient Blue/Auburn/Popular Wood Trim*Steptronic*NAV* Cold Weather Package*Rear Sunshades*Rear Side AirBags*Rear Heated Seats*Fold Down Rear Seats*Sport Package*Premium Sound*HUD*SAT Radio*
First I would like to thank all of you for helping me decided on the 545. This car is no joke! Picked her up Friday and on Saturday drove down to Atlantic City, back up to NYC and then home to NJ (over 300 miles). It was hard staying under 80mph
Only regret is not getting the comfort seats, sport seats are too confining on the legs/thighs, lumbar is bad also.
Today I had the dreaded window antitrap message so many of you have written about and the drivers side window stopped going up automatically. Worked going down. So I tried a procedure an Acura tech showed me when my wife's TL automatic window stopped working. Turned key to position 1, open drivers window all the way down, then up then down again, holding for a few seconds at each. Waring message is gone and windows work fine.
As you can see in my gallery below, I already have my e60.net clings and the red reflectors should be here tomorrow.

Sounds like you and your 545 are wearing in well. 80 (seems like 50) is a good comfortable-under-control cruising speed. I think what you did to the windows amounts to a reboot of the system.

The comfort seats are great - not confining at all - just takes awhile to figure the best adjustment from the many available. Best of driving with the 545.

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
Congrats and enjoy. After a little fiddling with the seats, you will be comfortable.
Good call on the euro reflectors - nice enhancement to the rear.
Now just change-out the fog lights (many posts on the forum), tint the rear windows and consider a clear bra before it is too late. Oh yeah, the non slip trunk mat and all weather floor mats are nice too.
That will get you started until you go to your first bimmerfest.
Wasn't the wait every so sweet?
