Get one of the remaining 2008 535i's from your dealership's inventory. It's discounted and you'll love it. I picked up a brand new 2008 535i last month. It only had 20 kilometers on it (12.5 miles). 
I recommend getting one with the sport package. That's the only thing I am missing, but I will be upgrading the suspension in spring and I will also be adding strut/sway bars. So that should help with the ride.
Did your loaner have the sport package? You can tell by the trim around the window. Was is crome or black?

I am actually seriously thinking about getting one. I just have to save up a little more.. You are right about me feeling like a king. I love the M5 dont get me wrong, but there is police radaring every block where I live here in VA, and i think i will get tickets every day. So I think this car would be just right for me. The 535 i test drove didnt have the sport package and i could tell the lack of handling compared to my 530.Maybe ill start a "Give Jake a 535 foundation"...I definetely think it will be successful. NOw thats one thing we havnt tried on the forum. 1 question, does the xi lose "A LOT" of power since it gives power to the 4 wheels or is it only a slight difference. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Gave up my 06 330i and upgraded to an 08 535i. Dealer gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. JB+ in the future once more info is released.
I have chrome around my windows so I'm assuming that it means non-sport correct?

Same here, was going to do a new 335i coupe and couldnt afford(didnt want the note) the new 535, so i drove the 528 which left me wanting more. The ride on the 535 is exactly what i was looking for. It fits me perfect. Takes a while to get used to the weight and I would recommend the sports package. Basically, got the 08 535i for what i was quoted for the 335i coupe. Only thing i didnt care for was i had to settle for space gray instead of black and the 124 wheels arent all that, as far as looks.
