Last night I was giving her a wash and the key was in my pocket, the car was unlocked and when I got round to the front of the car I noticed that one angel eye was on
only the passenger side angel eye was on not the driver side. I then locked the car using the key fob and it stayed on
..........I then started the car, turned the headlights on and then switched the car off and it went off!
Has anyone ever experienced this - is it normal!

Yes, it's the parking light control activated by the turnsignal.
A German thing for the Autobahns, saves amps when only one side is lit.

And I assume you can only stop in one planned direction (forward on the hard shoulder) on an Autobahn...
In the UK you're not allowed to "park" on the motorway but only stop in an emergency and then you have to have the hazard warning lights running. I expect that's the case in 95% of other territories.

As you may have noticed from my earlier post, it's not just a German thing.

Not only is it about the dumbest thing you could do, it's of course not allowed, just as in the UK, BE, NL, etc.
