Here are a few pics of the new car today. It's exactly like the 528i Sedan - Platnium Bronze / Natural Brown that i turned in today. Only difference is the last car had Cold Weather Package and Light Poplar Wood and this one doesn't have the Cold Weather Package and I added Bamboo wood in this one. I'm gonna take more shots of it this weekend.

The car i ordered was Jet Black with Natural Brown - but BMWNA decided to send me Platnium Bronze again. No problem - I enjoy it. My wife's 335 that comes in next month is Platnium Bronze too.

This is my last E60, because BMWNA says that the demand for the 5 series isn't high at all.

We usually get whatever vehicle we have on order and order another then and recieve our next order in around 4 months or so. Due to the economy, they are no longer allowing us to order anything right now. They are pulling cars from lots all over the world for us instead of having us order one. I let me vehicle rep know that i wanted a X5 and have to call her back at 6000 miles to see if they were able to track one down for me. We are unable to know the color combo or options. Another female coworker downgraded from a 535i to a 528i (that came from a dealer) and it was $55,000ish and didnt have heated seats; but did have navigation. It sucks, but atleast they are still allowing us to get a vehicle. I'm blessed to have personal vehicles of my own incase they decide to stop altogether.

Will take more pics this weekend.

Most of the time, you get whatever you order. However, here lately BMWNA had been modifying orders to specs that they want us to have.

So.... Just to clarify....

You placed an order for a specific model with specific options and color you want.... your dealer or BMWNA recieves the order..... decides that you really didn't mean what you ordered and finds/ships you a car that they KNOW is a better car for you..... and you're happy to get a car that you didn't order. Is that right? Just wanted to make sure I got this right.

Did you pay for the car that you ordered and didn't get? Or was BMW kind enough to give you a discount on options that you didn't get?

+1

Add me to the growing list of confused readers about why BMWNA seems to change peoples orders. I would not accept any change unless its thrown-in extra freebies,.. that is if I am paying for the car I ordered. If its a company car or if I was blessed to work for BMW and given a company car, then hey, I would never complain just as long as the blue and white (bavarian colours) are on it.

cheers
