Hows your remote? Did you get warranty?

Someone (no not me) should start a poll and see how many people actually took full advantage of the extended warranty... and i'm not just saying using it once or twice but actually have used it enough to make up for the cost of the warranty.. whether on a E60 or prior BMWs...

Nope, no warrantly. I bought the car at 43k. I just realized I've put 9k miles since end of May when I bought it.

No extended warranty here either (manufacturer warranty ran out July 28)... I figured that I probably will not be spending over $2000 over the next 2 years... my car has 42K miles.

Keep in mind many extended warranties out there will go longer then just two years. Just depends on the company and money you want to spend.

My warranty ended on May 10. So far 48K Miles and no big issue.
The A/C started acting funny though, sometimes if I push the MAX button, the fan will only go to mid-speed, not full even though the dial shows full, might become a big issue if it stops working

If you are willing to give up the excitement of driving BMW, buy Lexus and you will never have any problem with your car for at least 10+ years.

Can anyone chime in on the cost of the repairs stated above if we have to pay out of pocket? Also, what about the question of deductibles? I have 45K miles and 5 months more to go on my '05 545. Right now I am thinking to pass on the extended warranty, but thinking about getting the extended maintenance program.

Does anyone has inputs on whether or not it's worth it to get the extended maintenance program?

Thanks!
