I have an external device that when tripped, closes a ground lead wire. is there a wire in the E60 that I can tap into that would allow the car audio to be muted when the external device trips? I guess it would act like the bluetooth; when a call comes in the stereo is muted. Is this easily possible with a wire splice? I assume not because of the CANBUS but figured I'd ask.
thx

Yes there is. Look for my thread called the Cheap Aux-In option and there is a pin that mutes the audio.
