I don't see anything wrong with it. Sometimes you can get a quicker reply at a different forum and not everyone is a member at all other forums.

I am guessing Jim meant same question in same forum, different sub-section.

I think there are {b]waaaaay[/b] too many BMW forums scattered all over the internet. bimmerfest, bimmerforums, bmwland, 5series.... it's alll too fragmented. Can someone somehow combine all these and make a super forum or something? It would be so much more beneficial!

Don't see how that is possible.

Every forum evolves its own personality over time based on its membership and that personality becomes stronger as it attracts additional members who share similar views/interests/etc. For example, some are laid-back, others full of haters. Even if it is was possible to merge the forums together it wouldn't work. It would be like asking that fans of rival sports teams combine into a single fan-base. Sure, they all like the same sport, but chaos would ensue.

I hate putting some effort to writing a good post to help someone only to switch forums and see the exact question with a 10 post response already going.
