I just installed the v3.0 and it seems as if there is a fade from white to a slight tint of yellow from the inside to the outside ring. The outside ring doesnt seem as bright.

did i install them correctly?

Usually, if you have a fade, it's the incorrect installation. Did you make sure they "clicked" into place and everything? Do you have any pics to illustrate what you're seeing?

The tapering of the light toward the outside ring is normal. That's the way it works with all E60 AE's. Call it a design flaw. I thought you were getting fading within the inner ring toward the outer ring. Either, these look okay - all AE's will have this slight fading issue, bc the distribution of light is not very even, but with stock bulbs it's not as noticeable, bc you don't have as bright a bulb.

Maybe dv8ed can comment. He's another member I know that has Mtec 3 installed. When I saw it in person, I don't recall seeing it being uneven, but then again, maybe I didn't pay that much attention.

I figured it would be brighter as the mtec is installed directly behind the inner bulb. I was just wondering as looking at pics from other angel eye installs you dont really see the shift.
