MP3s playback goes silent when routing with NAV

I haven't been able to fully debug this problem, but it seems like when I have a destination programmed in my Navigation system (routing to a location) and an MP3 CD playing, the MP3 will intermittently stop playing. The only way to resume playback it to cycle to FM radio and back to CD. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm running CIPv20 in a US 530i.
