OK - got my car today and took mp3 disk to pick it up. Files work great, but some of the songs stop playing halfway through and the idrive says unable to read. Anyone know how to fix?

Look at the bright side of things, at least you have mp3 capabilities
I would build a new disc, could be damaged.

i did build a new disc and maxed the buffer speed. Also the first disc had multiple files and the new disc i just put the songs stright on and it worked. But I need to find a way to do it with files beacue 150 songs is hard to sort through on the idrive.

OK - I'm adding to this post becasue I am having lots of problems using the mp3 capability and need to hear from people who have it an how it they get it to work.
Here is what I have tried:
All song ripped with windows media player into mp3 files. Have changed the bit rate from 128 up to the max (and could only fit on 30 songs which I did not like) and tried settings in between
burned mp3's with windows media player - each song separate - could not figure ouot how to make files
burned mp3's with Nero - at all bit rates -tried with folders and without
I am using Phillips CD-RW
all of the songs play initially - then I get a message "track\file cannot be read"
Does not always happen at the same in each song - sometimes at the beginning, sometimes halfway through
It does not happen at the same place every time for a specific song
So am I doing somethign wrong? I have spent hours ripping cd's, butring mp3s, deleting cd's from my computer so I could rip at a gigher rate.
I need an answer please - it is me or my car?
The computer that I rip the songs on plays then without an issue
Someone please help - this has become the second most time consuming activity in my life - the first is searching this site!
