All 2004+ E46s can play MP3 CDs, why not the E60s =(

Also, there is no mention of the player being able to play MP3 CDs in my owner's manual...only stated it could play CD-R/CD-RWs. <_<

In Portugal the situation was a sales rep nightmare:
The documentation refered MP3 capability, but they knew it would not work, at least from the cars they had sold.
At the end of the day several to whom I've talked opted (correctly I think) for stating the truth upfront, something like:
"I must warning you that despite being on the brochures and documentation, MP3 will not work".
They looked really embarassed admiting this. Even I, being a BMW addict, find this corporate atitude rather suicidal, and can't understand why BMW dosn't clarify this issue openly, be it to admit failure or success.
Just my .02

Any lawyers out there? I know it seems minor, but a class action lawsuit would be great. I think they need to give us all $250 - $500. It's total BS and false advertising.

Let's start it. Where do we go from here?

Anyone to pick this up on a more global level? How about a customer complain list on the missing MP3-feature? Then we first present it to BMW and then, if there is no reaction, to the press. I bet they would pick this up.
