MP3 playback on 2005 with nav.?

I just picked my E60 up on Tuesday and tryed a mp3 qand no play back. I have nav.,with standard radio and would think being that i just got it, I would hope it has the latest software. can someone give me some ideas. Should I check the software? if so how do I do that? I thought it was working on some cars. Thanks Ben

If your in the US, the software that will allow it is due in Sept. (v. 17.0)

Yeah I am in New York. What about a ice link are they available for i pods. I am going to have my dealer install the aux. adapter. How do I check wehat software I have?? Thanks Ben

My Ride: 535d (4/05) M Sport, Carbon black, Black dakota leather, Sport seats, Xenon, Navi prof, Hi-fi pack, AS, BT, PDC, Sunroof
what about Europe? do e60s play mp3s here. I am about to order a 535d with no nav but with radio prof + hifi system. Would I be able to enjoy mp3s?
