MP3 on e60 with single slot CD without nav

My Ride: 2004 520i, mystic blue, steptronic, beige leather, pdc, bluetooth, rain sensor, BMW sport kit fitted, 18" 166 rep BMW rims , de-badged, cherished reg. chrome grill,
I have been reading all the posts ref MP3's but I'm even more confused. So is MP3 available with a softwear upgrade like cip20 without sat nav or prof radio. I have a single slot cd player no nav with 19.2 cip

You must have Prof Radio with out it its not possible...

I do not have the Prof radio (just Hi Fi Speaker System), I have no Nav and I can play MP3's.
I also have sw ver 20.xx
