MP3 CD Won't Play.. Help Please
Hey my 2005 525i plays regular audio cds just fine but i want to use mp3 cds so I can see the album cover and the song names. When I put an mp3 cd in the cd slot (I have a single slot with no changer)I get the message "medium cannot be read". I was told on a different thread that if my idrive has the grey screen rather than brown that I should be able to play mp3 and it is indeed grey. I also read that if i get the "medium cannot be read' message than I should be able to play mp3 but I am not burning it correctly. Can anybody help

Might be you never had a s/w upgrade?

There may be a newer version of the SIB, use Google.

I seem to remember that one of the early on s/w upgrades changed the iDrive screen color to brown. Maybe I'm making that up, but it rings a bell.
