Hi guys,
I have a 520i , 2004 build, with the Proffesional radio cd, NO CD Changer - NO Nav.
Is it possible for the said system to play MP3s after a software upgrade?
I have searched all the threads concerning the said issue, but with luck. I simply do not understand what is going on.
Most of the answers had to do with systems equiped with NAV and/or CD changer.

Thanking you in advance

Yes, on the basis that you really did order the pro spec radio (about $300 option here in the UK) with the appropriate CIP software upgrade this should work

Somehow installing the NAV option required the Pro radio to be installed on the earlier MY. Hence the connection between these two apparently unrelated bits of hardware. Who knows how the technology in these E60s hangs together
