Movin' on up

A few months ago, I found myself in the same predicament as you. All I have to say is, 550i all the way.
What do you prefer about the LCI? Others may disagree, but to me the only big difference I like are the head and tail lights. You can get the euro overlays, mtech angel eyes, and then get LCI tails. At that point its a wash to me.
The only other factor that may influence your decision is gas mileage. I calculated that my yearly gas cost was only a few hundred more with the v-8.
Overall, the smoothness and rumble of the v-8 were too much for me to pass up.

Yur right, about $30K is what the dealers were asking. It's got everything but NAV, though.

Get the 550. You won't be sorry. And if you live in snow country get a killer pair of ice rates snow tires.

Forgot the updated shifter and keyless egnition. That really does bring a sense of modernness to the E60, but like you said, not enough to totally sway me to LCI. I'd love that shifter, especially because I have light grey dakota with bamboo anthricite interior and it would look sweeeeet!
The nice thing about going from a 530 pre lci to a 550 lci is that it will really feel like I'm getting a new car!

My Ride: 545I and a half dozen other rides
More mods available for the 335 for performance. Virtually none for the 550 what mods are available are very expensive. Would not be too hard to mod a 335 to out perform a 550.
550 would suck the gas. More potential to save gas with the 335
Is that what you wanted to hear?
Probably not.

you live in NH? xi model then. No weight over the only drive wheels? We (especially in the Northeast) don't keep our roads as nice as the snow covered roads you see on the BMW commercials...
