I have a 2005 545i. There is a satellite module in the trunk, but no option to choose or listen to satellite, as the only options are AM FM WB and CD. Is this normal if the satellite service isnt activated? It is all plugged up but it doesnt even appear anywhere on the screen.

Also, there is a small aluminum box, module in the glovebox that is connected with a fiber optic cable. It has an iPhone cord connector coming out of it. I am unsure what this is or what it is for.

I have no need for either of the above modules. Is it possible to delete them from the MOST loop to simplify things and eliminate potential problems? Would that be as easy as using a bypass?
