I recently went to disconnect the negative battery terminal in my car and the 10 mm nut was frozen to the threads. I had to use a ratchet and socket to remove it which just broke it off. The dealer was not able to find the bolt in their parts catalog without buying the entire negative battery post with cables ( also has a circuit board ). Does anyone know where to buy this bolt separately? I need the nut and T bolt for negative battery terminal labeled #1 here at realoem.com

There is a guy selling off parts off of a wrecked 535xi right now. Maybe shoot him a PM and ask him if you could get that part. Not sure about fitment though...

Or try going to a junkyard

I knew exactly what you meant right after I read the thread title !
Same thing happened to me last winter and I asked the dealer. They said the bolt can't be sold separately, but with the whole cable, which is 185?. Crazy.

I put a regular bolt in it and that solved the problem.

I am most likely going to try that by cutting off the threads and drilling and tapping new threads for a new bolt and nut. I just wish I could buy a factory bolt for same price as other bolts such as the torx bolt on the positive post which sells for under $5.

I think you missed the part about the circuit board on the negative battery terminal. Here is a picture of it, I had not seen anything like it before either. I did a temporary fix so it might not look broken but the bolt is not stock anymore.
