I recently went to disconnect the negative battery terminal in my car and the 10 mm nut was frozen to the threads. I had to use a ratchet and socket to remove it which just broke it off. The dealer was not able to find the bolt in their parts catalog without buying the entire negative battery post with cables ( also has a circuit board ). Does anyone know where to buy this bolt separately? I need the nut and T bolt for negative battery terminal labeled #1 here at realoem.com

I knew exactly what you meant right after I read the thread title
!
Same thing happened to me last winter and I asked the dealer. They said the bolt can't be sold separately, but with the whole cable, which is 185?. Crazy.
I put a regular bolt in it and that solved the problem.

just put on a real battery terminal. Maybe something from a high end sound shop. BMW does still use copper wiring don't they?
I've got a box of them if you want one. Gratis.
