I was on a BMW course a few weeks ago, and our instructor was Andy Bovensiepen (won the Nurburgring 24 hrs in 1998). At the end of the course I persuaded him to drive the car round. Unfortunately we were delayed a few times with traffic, and one minor accident we had to slow down for, but I calculated a 8.57 BTG which isn't too bad for his first lap in the car, 4 people, slowed with traffic and a minor accident to delay him

Top speed wasn't particularly higher than normal - say around 140/145 at one of the fastest points, but his skill at being able to brake appropriately (i.e. not too early ) and carry speed through the corners was impressive.

Here's a vid where I was out on my own, and Andy overtook me in his Alpina B5. I managed to keep up (just) but to be fair he had 4 people on board and I was only little me

Driving video games should have real-life graphics like this. Awesome recording. Did you have the camera zoomed in alittle because it looked fast?

V.Interesting.

I had to laugh when I saw the bus. The new ring-taxi.
Didn't notice if it was full or not. I wonder if it was some car manufacturer using it as a test mule. Some new MPV.

It's an bullet camera with an 8mm fixed focal length lens, connected to my camcorder video in socket. It's field of view is 40 degrees, and the human eye is considered to be 53 degres FOV, so it is slightly zoomed in. I'm going to get a 6mm lens for the cam, which is 53 degrees, so that should be exactly right

Has someone uploaded it? I can't see it, and I've certainly not uploaded it because I didn't know about the website before now
