I had an '03 T-Blazer and yes - the 4.0 I6 was an awesome motor. You'd have to look at the tach to make sure the engine was running at warm idle - that's how quiet and smooth it was.

Exactly they do not have to make the engine signifigantly longer or that much bigger-a 3.5 litre I6 NA engine with 330 horsepower and 280 foot pounds would be a sweet motor--totally compete with other segments but still maintain unique, smooth performance in a lightweight package--
Just dont get it-the S54 was such a hit and that was over a decade ago-they could have built on that and made a lower revving more user friendly 3.5ish version with a 7k redline --would be amazing
