After driving now for a few days with v25 installed, I can say that the engine and transmission performance are greatly improved. Keep in mind, though, I had never had a software update - so I'm catching up on 7 or 8 versions worth in one leap.

Gone ... rough idle at cold start
Gone ... strong idle that moves car forward from a stop
Gone ... hestiation when putting the throttle down
Gone ... last moment surge while breaking to a stop

Much improved ... shift points in both D and DS are much more logical, sensible, timely, and practical. This is by far the biggest difference I've noticed so far. The engine and transmission now act like they know each other - and it's a beautiful relationship.

Much improved ... engine responsiveness. My 550i feels like a different car now ... it's finally performing the way it should. There is no hesitiation when you ask for more power, and the transmission does a much better job of being in the right gear at the right time. This is fantastic.
Had Progman 25.x installed last week on my non-nav 530i and can confirm the same improvements you described above. On the whole, the ride is much smoother and re-juvinated

I was just upgraded as well and the one thing I do like is not having to press accept on the idrive anymore. My wifes 2006 X5 has this as well. It's the little things.

Poleposition are you referring to the "Lawyers" screen in the US when you say you don't have to press accept anymore?

I think from 19.x and above, Liar screen went away automagically w/o pressing Accept buttock. I meant, button.

I am on a more recent version than 19 and the screen does not go away until you press Accept. I believe that this only occurs in the US due to our litigious nature.

I believe it goes away with V 22.xx and higher.

I have had Progman 24.xx now for a bit over a month now and had not realized until now that the Accept screen does in fact go away by itself. Usually I just start the car push Accept and go, but I just tried not pushing it and it went away by itself after about 8 seconds of showing the Accept screen (not counting the time that the "BMW" splash screen is shown). It's nice that it will go away by itself now, but in practical everyday use I would still be better off accepting it manually because usually after starting the car I need the PDC screen to be active right away and would not want to wait 8 or 10 seconds for it to go away by itself.
