I have space grey and love the color. I did not custom order mine and the dealer had a space grey one. The paint is easy to take care of. However, monaco blue is gorgeous but I wonder how hard it is to take care of (darker colors are a PITA). Also, you will find that the Mercedes has better quality paint than the BMW. My g/f has an E-class and the ceramic paint is way better than what I have on my BMW.
Since this thread is without pictures, below is what the space grey looked like right off the lot.

Color is one thing I'd never seek anyone else's opinion on - just buy what you like.
I will, however, say, that space gray (and its predecessor, silver gray) is just so common.
That said, the beauty of monaco blue is its complexity. It changes hue based on ambient lighting, ranging from bright metallic blue to almost black. It's a fabulously complex color.

PG is my fav followed by Alpine White and Titanium Silver, my E60 was oriental blue , loved it , but I always wished if I could get grey or silver as I did not pre order my car, I think Riz's options are between a Monaco Blue with Black Dakota / Titanium Silver With Black Dakota / and Space Gray with Natural Brown Dakota, and hands down i love the NBD interior than the other two....

I've had a space gray since January- first "gray" BMW I've owned. Black, Alpine white, Calypso Red and Silver have been my five series former colors. I like the color but I won't go gray again. Indy Red, Alpine White or a shade of Blue are next on my list.

No offense to the OP and welcome aboard. Now that I got that out of the way, how can you possibly ask someone else what color car you should get? It's such a personal decision. Before I pull the trigger on a car, I have the whole thing mapped out in my head from the mods to the color to pretty much everything. It's like asking the board what color hair should you look for on your next girlfriend. Silly right? How do you get dressed in the morning?
