Looking at the M5 boot filler fitting link you posted, it appears to be mounted via the 2 number plate screws, but you mention double sided sticky plate. Is this correct, how is it fitted & if sticky tape is used, is the fit perfectly flush to the boot??
Also, did the grille come from a BMW main dealer? Do you have the part number? if not, what should i be asking for?
Cheers,

As for the grills, again, I got mine from Williams in Manchester and the part numbers are:
Left: 51137896849
Right: 51137896850

Yep it's held in place with the screws but I bought some tape also just to make sure it fitted securely and didnt rattle around. The tape it pretty thin but spongy so it doesn't make a difference to how it sits on the boot and also will absorb any vibrations to stop it rattling.

Final questions i think regarding the grille & boot filler.
Do the 2 part numbers you give above (left & right) include the whole grille section, that being the chrome surround & the actual grille slats. Do i need to order any extra clips/screws or do the grille sections come with the fixings or do i have to retain the old fixings?
Does the M5 boot filler have a recess on the underneath for the boot lock? if not is the fit truly flush. I don't have an internal boot release button, only the button on the key fob so is it safe covering up the boot lock?

Its the full grill, so the slats and the surround. No need to buy anything else is just clips in place
You cannot get to the lock, it will be covered up by the filler panel, but you can get to the release button above the number plate. I do not have an internal boot release button either and besides I never lock my boot seperately from the car so it has not caused, nor do i forsee it causing me any problems.....
Hope that helps

You don't happen to have the forum link for grille fitting instructions?? I've just searched & can't find them. I want to make sure i don't break or damage anyhting either removing the old ones or fitting the new ones. Not bothered if i have to force the old grille out a bit & that results in damaging the old one. just dont; want to damage the car etc.

I would recomand the M tech boot spoiler (here it's called eleron). I've already added this. ACS addons front and back for the m kit. I'md reaming of those since here i can't find any aftermarket sellers that could order those for me. It looks clean and more agressive. And an acs roof spoiler (eleron). Google for acs uk and i think you'll find all the info you want.

Apart from styling, have you considered increasing security at theft?
A small satellite GPS unit hidden in the car plus a gsm communication card connected to your cell phone, will prevent your car to be stolen. I do not know if in the UK it is a serious threat, but taht is the case in the continent .

Having now got my car back, i'm a very happy chappie again & enjoying her fully (the DMS re-map helps that). I thought to myself, what could i do??
I don't want to modify her performance, as i'm very happy with that & i purchased this car to get away from stupid running costs, however i kinda fancy some subtle upgrades & to individualise her a little.
Are their any BMW options i've NOT got that could be retro-fitted (all options are in my sig below)? I'm not wanting BMW to tinker with my Engine ECU again so any options would need to not require any major software upgrades.
Also how about body styling (subtle). The Schnitzer kit looks very nice. How much is it, where can i enquire in the UK & is it worth the money?? I enphasise subtle, i have no intention of Max Powering my car. Love my wheels, so don't want to change those.
Are their any interior options or extras i could get/fit?? Updated my i-drive controller to an 06MY version, but is their anything else??
Found out earlier this week that their's nothing i can do with my ICE to enhance the sound a little, unless i'm prepared to spend around ?1500 which i'm not, as the current sound is fairly good so not worth ?1500 to upgrade that.
Just looking for ideas & pointers. As said above, i've no intention of going overboard so subtle & complimentary to the E60's form is what i'm looking for.
Cheers in advance.
