The reason they do that it's to make the others believe that the car isn't so fast as it really is. It's very easy to see a Porsche 911 being beaten by a BMW M5 in a autoban at 300km/h...... don't forget that they can drive in some autobans at that speed.

The main reason in Germany is enviousness.

Being successfull in your job/company should not be shown to openly.

Besides that, I am running my own business and visiting customers in a $ 80k car is not really a wise thing if you are negotiating a deal .

WBB.

PS: In germany we drive very fast - most BMW-drivers do. I did yesterday a trip to Frankfurt (from Duesseldorf) and back. On my way back: 230km in 1:40 h - driving a slow 520i (waiting for my 530d).

Waschbaerbauch,

what color combination did you order?
I'm having doubts on mine. (530d)

Silver gray/Beige OR orient-blue/beige

The rest:
Exclusive Pack
Automatic
124 wheels
...

Thanks in advance.

@ David:
I don?t know how old you are, orient-blue/beige is more the age 50+. On the other hand, I?ve never seen Silver gray/Beige, could be nice. If you like to gamble and you?ve never seen the combination, go for it <_<

This will be my config:

Modell BMW 530d Limousine
0430 oxfordgr?n II metallic
Leder Dakota Tr?ffelbraun

Standard pack:
0423, 0540, 0785, 0851, 0879, 0801
Extras:
0205, 0217, 0226, 0255, 0320, 0403, 0430, 0431, 0438, 0442, 0459,
0465, 0481, 0488, 0494, 0502, 0508, 0522, 0524, 0534, 0563, 0591,
0605, 0607, 0609, 0610, 0612, 0620, 0638, 0672, 0677, 0760, 0761,
0775.

Most imprtant things are: HUD, Automatic, 124 alloys, Logic-7 sound, big-navi, active lights, active steering, PDC, Phone, and other stuff
