So i had a yellow warning sign come on saying that my oil is low and to pull over and add oil or it can cause damage to the vechicle.

I went to Target or Tarjeeee as some would call it and bought Mobil 1: Full Synthetic Motor Oil (5W-30) Advanced Fuel Economy. There was a step better but they were all out, it was called Extended Performance. Is the oil i bought ok for my 2004 BMW 525i with 75,000 miles? Please let me know... Im in California.

PS- Keep in mind that I have a oil change coming up in 1900 miles. Please let me know if I did the right thing. I take very good care of my car except unfortunetly I am not a car expert haha!

Let me know!

Thanks!

don't think the 5-30 you bought was the correct one. Target usually don't carry the Mobil Euro formula. Kragen or Autozone should have it. Personally I always have a quart of the Castrol Edge Euro formula in my trunk just in case.
