My car has just recently run over the service interval and since then the service screen intermittently appear / disappears (as photo). I duly placed the car in for service and they also noticed that the key was not downloading the car's data. They diagnosis 'software problem mate' , needs to be booked in.

Okay fair enough, then I got the car back and the had not reset the service indicator ?, not sure if this was a problem with the software as well, due to pop in tomorrow to ask if a service was carried out at all!!

Any others with the same problem ?

They may have performed the oil service but forgot to reset the service indicator.

I'd take a look at the color of the oil on your dipstick to see if it looks new or not...

Thanks Rudy, I checked the oil but it still appeared black after driving back from the garage (3 miles), not sure if this is normal , also I couldn?t see the oil filter, hence did not know if it had been changed.

They also ticked the box on the service log sheet for resetting the CBS !, and thay must have noticed when they moved the car after the service that the big oil can appeared on the screen, and the I-drive piped up that service was STILL overdue.

You'd think they'd have noticed those things flashing and dinging when they moved the car but it wouldn't surprise me if they just ignored them...
