My Ride: 2007 Sapphire Black Metallic 525i. Beige Dakota Leather, Premium package, bluetooth, BMW Assist, Xenon adaptive lights, Sirius radio
My car has been in the shop since 6/2 with a/c problems. The problem was finally duplicated by the dealership and parts were ordered. They came in Friday. Too late, however, to have it finished before closing.
I HAVE YET ANOTHER E90. I really miss my 5.. The tire noise is driving me bonkers and the lack of idrive is leaving me lost.
I have had two 3 series: a 98 318 and a 2001 325. It is really hard going back to the 3 after having fallen in love with the 5.
The 5 just feels much more substantial and rides better.
The E60 styling took me some time to like. I had a hard time with the profile and the interuptions cause by the dip in the hood opening and the trunk. I now see how the horizontal lines flow from below the c pillar to the trunk and how the character line is carried to the end of the vehicle by the clear section of the tail lights.

I hope you get your ride back soon.
My 5er is my first BMW, and I have loved it's shapes a long before I got it! In fact I have had some difficulties to like other BMW's designs.
Well except E90, which is a beauty. But for example E39, no no . Somehow it looks very dated. On the other hand, E46 is getting hotter by day by day

My Ride: 2007 Mercedes CLS63 AMG
Designo Graphite with white leather interior
Keyless Go, Heated/Ventilated seats, Parktronic
The 5er was my first BMW as well. I bought a Z4 about a year later as a summer vehicle, but now the used Merc CLS's are finally in my price range so I may jump ship to try out a used Benz.

Ive just got mine back after nearly 5 weeks due to needing a new engine, nitemare !!! And i missed my like hell the ride is one of if not the best ive driven ive had the Benzs SL500 CLS350 And for me they just dont compare to the 5er.
Looks wise when they 1st came out and even a couple of years ago they looked to zany for me and i would not of entertained one but now time has caught up with the design for me they look the business, stylish yet aggressive executive yet sporty.
Njoy now you have it back i know i am ......
