My Ride: bmw 530i
missin oil
I have recently did some repair work on my '06' e-60 had a valve cover leak with three broken bolts I also change oil and spark plugs while in there because car did have 89,000 miles on it at the time that went well but a week later starter went out put one on that went well but lately I had to put a quart of oil in her and I haven't even put 1,000 miles on the car and I have looked for leaks and haven't found any , is there something I am missing ? appreciate some help

Start with the oil pan and see if that could be the culprit (cross your fingers and hope it's just the loose nut!). If not, check the oil filter housing gasket for leaks. Then cross your fingers again, and hope your mechanic placed and seated those spark plugs gaskets (seals) properly; your car would come up with unusual smokes from the tailpipe if you have internal leaks.
Did you have that missing oil issue prior to taking it the shop? If not, ask your mechanic if he has any problems financing his women's dirty habits?
In any case, good luck and go get yourself a Bentley Service Manual and sufficient tools from Sears.
