For some members here $10K is a drop in the bucket. I'm not referring to myself either b/c if it were so I'd be banging down on VF Engineerinng's door and throwing $10K at them for their supercharger.
Worth it to cut some other comforts outo f life but I am defiently living above my means on my car-well by atleast a 100 bucks a month or so which I can live with-but ya 10k to me is like 1/4 of my salary each year
No family helps as well as moving to the midwest which really helps-but stilll-10k aint no joke here

Serious question: Is $10k a lot of money in the USA for someone who is buying a new e60?? You can easily spend twice that on extras here in UK.

Are you going to sell the Q7? That seems like quite a drastic measure given the depreciation hit.
I think the average income of a U.S. 5-series buyer is about $150K. The average 5-series is about $55K.
Here is some old info from Tachyon:
Info on the typical MY 2005 545 buyer (U.S.):
male
48 years old
married
$203,000 average annual household income
One-third of buyers have an Advanced Degree
5'10"
180 pounds
One-third of 545s are purchased / the other two-thirds leased
Average price paid for purchased 545 $61,500

Do it, man! We can go do some G-Timer runs and find out how fast they really are before you put the PROcede in. I'm not going anywhere near you after you install the PROcede.

Wow 2/3rd leasing surprises me-more-so because a lease allows you to essentially drive a car above your means since lease payments for the same stretch are obviously drastically lower-so with avj income of 200k that would surprise me. Quite frankly if I made 200k I would probably lease a car more than 60k and plan to when I make 200k but I guess if you add in a house/kids/wife etc that doesnt leave much.
And what the avj e60 owner is 180 pounds haha wonder what kidn of survey they got that from! that cracks me up.
And for the original owner-not sure of your means but if a couple things
1. If this is going to be your e60 for awhile-like you are buying it and are not in a position to rebuy in a few years etc.-consider a completely new 5 series in 2 years-now more like 1.5 years-with Twin-turbo V8s available and more powerfuld turboed 6s and TOTALLY redesigned
2.If you can afford to lease one now for 2 years than that is perfect and you can pick up a brand new style in 2 years
3. If you are not the type to care about having the lateast greatest thing then go for it-the 535 is probably an awesome machine
And come on people-I am just not seeing how 550 power is needed in the U.S-535 is plenty of power unless your hitting the track. Either way you wont go wrong.
That is what I would be conisidering if it were me.

Hahaha...That fits your description exactly, huh soc_fans? I know him and he isn't the "typical MY 2005 545 buyer".
Let's make a deal. Straight trade for my 530i for your 911. Miss it that much? You had the M54 and I have the N52.

535i is what i want and not another 530i.
My M54 530i was chipped and probably run as fast as your N52!
So you have a porshe but you want an e60? Why not just drive the porshe? I mean if your a student you are busy enough with school providing your doing decent and such to not have ot put that many miles on so gas milage cant be an issue or is it? whats wrong with just driving the porshe if ya want a car??
