Hi all,
I was getting a misfire code for cylinder 1 (code 29CD) and an Exhaust VANOS - Mechanical fault (code 2A87) so I replaced the solenoid and all six coils (OEM) and plugs a few days ago; the car has approximately 120k miles on it.
Now I get the following for cylinder 1 :
Misfire detection cylinder 1 in 1 Firing order Code: 0029CD
Ignition, Cyl. 1 / building up of fuel pressure EKP-forward stroke / ignition cyl 1 / Brake light switch / Ignition cylinder 1: Burning time too short Code: 002E18
The injector was replaced at around 70k miles and I use an injector cleaner (Seafoam) at around every 5k miles. The good news is that, after a few days, the VANOS fault cleared but now an Inlet VANOS code (2A82) popped up last night. I'm going to pull it tomorrow and try cleaning it first. Hopefully ....
I've been trying to find information on the 2E18 fault but haven't had any luck so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks
