Mirrors now fold from the key

Electric folding mirrors are an option in the UK. There is a button on the inside of the car next to the mirror adjustment. You can also have the mirrors prgrammed to fold on the "lock" button on the key fob. This is what I asked of my dealer to do for me, as I had opted for the folding mirrors

My Ride: 525ise, Dec 2003, Silver Grey, Black Dakota Leather, Bluetooth, 18'' Runflats, Folding mirrors, Automatic/man box,parking sensers front/rear,latest addition 645ci black saphire, with everthing on, nothing it does not have.
mine has electric mirrors is this only available to be programmed on newer e60s mine is december 03.

When I requested it to be done, the Service people didn't even know it was possible or could be done. Well they learnt something new

When I had mine done the dealer knew it was possible, but the starter button key fob rather than a standard key caused them a bit of a problem - but they overcame it eventually. Great function because when I see my mirrors folded it stops me going back to check that I've locked it....
