There has been a couple of occasions that the temp has been in the lower 30's (yes....even in LA), and I have had all the heaters on (including the seat and steering) but still it has not happened.
But I dont have seat heaters... got a stripped down V8. :'(

Okay, I'm starting to wonder if this is a problem that happens more while listening to Sirius or if I'm just imagining it.
A few days ago, this muted radio issue didn't happen to me at all but during those days, I didn't listen to Sirius.
Yesterday and today, the radio muted on me a few times and each time it was while listening to Sirius.
Can any one confirm that it happens to them while listening to something other than Sirius?

I don't have Sat. Radio, Rudy. (something else that I should get, I know, I guess I'm not ready to get "Sirius" 
).
For me, it does happen both with the Aux Input as well as the CD.
I first thought that it was something with the Treo/Aux input but I find that it happens with the CD also. I can't confirm yet if it does it with the radio also.

10-4 on that sat radio, realty. It would detract from the exhaust note.

My Ride: 530i 6 speed
OK, I was able to videotape this now. It ONLY (however, not always...) occurs in my car when:
1) CDs from the changer play
2) I downshift from 4th to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd (not on upshifts)
3) I use the paddles and it needs to be the LEFT paddle on the steering wheel (not the right paddle or the shifter)
4) Doesn't matter what else is on in the car (heated seats etc.)
