Minor RPM bounce between 4-500 when idling
#1
Hi guys,
I noticed that the RPM bounces between 4-500 when idling. It is a very minor bounce(I would say only about 50RPM), but it bounces just about all the time. This is the first V8 I have, and all the other prevous BMW V6 I owned did not have this RPM bounce situation.
I posted this question before but no one seems really sure. I took the car to the dealer, and he said it is normal because it is constantly adjusting the valves or whatever. Then he told me that the M3 does the same.
Please let me know if your car also does this or not.
Thank you.

Now I feel better about the idling.

BMW don't build V6 engines. They are famous for their in-line 6 cylinder engines.
