Can someone please provide some input on this. I was trying that thing where you turn the steering wheel all the way left and right. I recently changed the Steering Column switch(SZL) There is some power steering but very hard. Anyway, when I turn the steering wheel all the way left or right to the point where it stops I here a sound like high pressure air is being released. If I let go of the steering wheel it stops.
Does anyone know if this is normal or what could be the issue? The resovoir is full. Also have adaptive steering malfunction.

I don't know what the noise is exactly but it is normal when the steering wheel is locked out right or left.
Since you covered fluid already it sounds like the control unit or something specific to the active steering system is not functioning correctly...

Now that I think about it it just sounds like whoever changed the SZL forgot to calibrate active steering.
Edit:
Just noticed that's what you were trying to do in the first place. I'd restart and try it out again.
Turn car on.
Start at center.
Turn wheel all the way left then all the way right.
Back to center and shut off.
Start up and all active steering malfuncitons should go away.
