I love it, despite the lack of chinese MP3 character support which I was really hoping for.

iDrive does not
display Chinese (Traditional),? so it makes my MP3 list useless, because
it shows characters like this (&^%%$*&, but so far no way to cure it,
at least in the US.?

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
Feeling is mutual on my 545i - except for the Chinese.
You may want to checkout different brake pads, there are many performance ones on the market that are quite and minimal dust. I would recommend the Axxis Deluxe (Bendix Pad). Very similar feel - slightly more performance but without the dust. Contact www.stoptech.com.
I am waiting for them to come out for the 545i sport, but they should be available for the 525.

My Ride: MY05 545i Jet Black with Auburn interior. SMG, Logic7, Sport Package, Comfort Seats, Navigation.
I think if BMW start to offer I-drives in other languages, it will attract many more mature buyers. My mom, and their friends are intimidated after riding in my car. They see me operating the idrive, phone, radio, and nav with ease, but they are all too content to be driving their Mercedes without all these hi-tech features. It would make them accept it better if the displaying language were of their own, because part of the unacceptance is due to language difficulties in I-drive.

diffcult for him to absorb such amount of information in a short time period. But if
it is in Chinese he could response and issue commands much quicker.
If an iPod can support multi language, I don't see why BMW can not do that?
They have alredy done for the cars exported to Taiwan, I don't see why
it is not possilbe to implment it here.
Tech can not service? Well, the icons are the same regardless the language,
and they can always change it to English, and after the service, they can
change it back.
