The 100k is great to hear. But how in the world are you getting 29 mpg?! You're getting almost as much as my Prius did on it's worst days.

I remember those days - so do my kids!! And they always enjoyed my "hand-me-down" work cars - especially BMWs - because I was the only person driving the car - the other seats were rarely used.
Basic rules then and now = No Food | No Smoke. So my cars were always spotless inside - the exterior and windshield got it's share of sandblasting. Used synthetics all the way around since 1986. My dealer & Independent BMW Mechanics always wondered how I got 70-100K out of a set of brakes / rotors ... but I never needed to stop all that much!
My rear brakes will probably last another almost 100k miles, but I am replacing the front brakes. I change the oil every 10,000 miles.
Bottom line is highway miles are easy on the car.

That's not impossible to do on the highway. I drove back from the Outer Banks to NJ last fall and the comp registered 29.4mpg.

First 100,000 miles have been rolled. Remarkably free of any issues, and still running like new.
Thats impressive for a 2007.

I'm sure you have to stay in lane and be easy on the pedal.

As someone wisely said on here not too long ago, they did not buy a BMW to sit in the garage and benefit the next owner with low mileage. Couldn't agree more. I have always driven a lot for business and pleasure, even when I had a 1988 Honda, but now I enjoy it more. Who cares about resale or the next owner. Enjoy what you have.
BTW, my mileage averages high 20's to low 30's on the highway.

Congrats on the 100K marker... Did you follow factory service and get the extended warranty or service it yourself? By service, I refer solely to maintenance related issues...

The idrive calculation is always optimistic. 29.7 equates to about 28.5. But, this is usually about what I get on trips - between 27 and 30. Pretty damn good for this much car, and I don't get passed by many on the interstates.
Same; iDrive shows 1 mpg over what my calculation [from every tank] states.
