don't worry about the idrive after you reach you time to change the microfilter , cause it will renew itself to how many miles more between the interval to change again , if you still have the maintance warranty , take to your dealer and their computer will detected and they will change for you.

For the past few days the service interval indicator in the I Drive for the Microfilter in my car was indicating that it will soon be time to change it. I could see the miles going down in the Service section of the I Drive for the Microfilter. Yesterday it went down to 0 miles and the red warning triangle came on the screen indicating to me that it was time to change the Microfilter. The service indicator seemed to be working like it should. I was going to make an appointment this weekend to get it changed. However, today I turned on my car and there was nothing showing up on my screen reminding me to change the Microfilter. So I checked in the Service section of the I drive and now the Microfilter says 1500 miles to change. Does anyone know why it went from 0 miles to 1500 miles overnight? Has anyone seen this before? Thanks.
I bought the filters online 2 for $50.00, and will change them out tomorrow.
Is there an answer out there or should I remove my foil hat?

Okay, no offense to Ricracing, but I'm tired of all your post always saying that the dealer is the only one qualified to do anything on our cars. For christ sake it's a microfilter that has 1 clip and 1 bolt (that you don't even have to remove, simply turn it 90*). It is quite easily the most user friendly/idiot proof part of your car outside of filling it up with gas.
Do you really think that it's justifiable to pay the dealer $100+ to put in a filter and vacuum out some leaves and dirt from where it is (which you can do yourself) when you can buy the filters yourself online for about $60, do you?

The good news is that it is NOT in idrive on a 2009 model,so you may ask why was it included in the first place?
