Thumbs up

Ok, my dealer refused to replace my microfilter with about 2,000 miles to go. It suddenly went down to about 1500 then 370 then 0... The triangle went all red and insisted on me seeing my dealer for a replacement.

I ring the dealer and book an appointment and then it goes back to 1,500 miles!!!!!!!! (Also my active steering blipped!)

Anyone else had experience of this?

Wish I could . But, all I can suggest realistically is telling your story to your dealer.

My dealer replaced my microfilter before it was due because the car was beginning to smell from possible air conditioning odors. My car had about 20,000 miles on it, but the filter wasn't due for a bit. Maybe try another dealer???? Do you have another one nearby?

Yeah, mine did the same thing. Those distance remaining to service indications are all but useless. Mine started giving me a "service soon" warning (which I ignored as I think it's completely rediculous to have to bring the car in to the dealer for every stupid little thing like brake fluid and microfilter - they used to do all these things during the regular service so this new system doesn't seem to be an improvement). Anyway, the warning went away and same as yours, when I checked it was telling me 2000km to go - a few km later and it it came back red triangle overdue. The other strange thing is that the car had 17,000km on it when the original microfilter needed replacing, and now it's telling me something like 60,000km before I need a new one.

Ditto here too! One minute 1,300 miles, then a couple of days later about 300 miles. Anyway, I don't have service inclusive so whipped the things out and gave them the once over to make sure they were not too manky. I reckoned they would be OK for another few months or so, and reset the i-drive indicator myself. Now shows 70,000 miles to the next change which seems bizzare, considering the original interval only lasted for about 18,000 miles. Anyway, I'm a bit of a tinkerer, so will be checking them regularly and when they look like it's time for a change, will fork out the ?40 or so for some new ones.

I have service inclusive and they're very picky about what they'll do when... I will have to ring them to see as the car is currently booked in for this Saturday for 30mins... I don't want to drive over and then be turned away when they read my key...
