HI,

Just about to change my Dunlop RFT's for Michelin Non RFT PS2's
I have subsequently found out they do a Extra load version.
I have a late 2004 530d Se and weren't sure if I should go for the Extra Loads or regular PS2's
Can any one shed some light on this please

There's only ?5.00 Difference in the price of each tyre so price isn't a factor

As the xtra load is stands for, well... extra load, one could think that the sidewalls are stiffer and the ride with those tires could be a bit harsher? I am not aware if the load capacity of the regular version is enough for E60 though.

Comparing some property charts could give some answers...

get the XLs. I've had both, and the tread life on the non-XLs can be measured in minutes. the XLs are for heavier cars, and the E60 certainly qualifies.

Thank you very much Felix, just what I wanted to hear.
I thought the XL's would be the ones, it's just that Michelin UK said the non XL's were the right ones for my car!
I will order the XL's today.
