Interesting comments from E Class owners ... some shift towards liking the E60 looks (most still do not), but E60 is recognized hands down as the better driving machine.

No, I'm not going over to the dark-side. The Mrs. is looking into getting a MB wagon and I wanted to research it a bit. She refuses to "copy" me and get an E60 ... so no hope there.

Eh you already have one E60. Go for the new E 500 with the 388hp or better yet get the E 55.

You will bump your head everytime you get into the car, that's is the reason I think the CLS is not the best of designs. But we are talking about MB here so I won't get one regardless.

This one guy is saying that they don't like the E60 because the front end is made up of aluminum and it will take trained technicial to fix your car (which will be expensive). How many of you want to bet the next E class will have aluminum front just like the E60? The S class is already aluminum in the front so I am pretty sure it will happen on the E class, then that guy will just go "I think the designer that came up with an aluminum front end is a genius, think of all the weight they will save"

If I were in the market for an E60 alternative, I'd get the E500 with the solar sun roof. That thing is a blast. The E55, in my opinion, is a bit overpriced.
CLS is a car made for a segment with no real demand -- are there really people out there pining for a 4-door coupe???

While this pic looks rakish and sleek, it is an admitted photoshop. Too bad.
