Well it's time to replace my rear tires again after 15 k miles (they are bridgestones re 960), my mind was set on hankook ventus v12 until I stumbled upon a set (4)of RFts(dunlops) with 800 miles on them on private members' classified. I would have spent as much on these 4 tires as I would if I bought the 2 hankook tires.if I buy the hankooks I woud have unmatched front and rear tires, but I would have all matched tires if I went to the RFTs and have my current front tires as spares.
So if it was you, what would you do? Is It worth it to go back to RFTs?

I would not go with run-flats .Wonder why they are for sale at 800 miles? Could it be the seller prefers non run-flats?

Well there's your answer. If you went with RFT's there would be a good chance of buyer's remorse IMO.

Go ahead.

You tried non-RFT (especially RE960, which is on soft side among non-RFT tires) and if you can think of going back, you must be ok with it.

I have Bridgestone RFT and I an fine with it. Firmer riding but sharper handling.

+1, all along I thought it was just the bad roads here in NYC, until I made the switch. Plus, what's the point if you have a spare? The RFT's only buy you some time anyway. You still hafta change the tire and they can't even be repaired if you drive on them, they are super expensive and no tire shop ever has them in stock anyway. More a headache than anything else.

I went with the hankook V12's.
