Maximum Front Wheel Width and Highest Offset before Contact with Strut
Hi Guys,
I am currently selling my E39 M5 and have a deposit down on a 535xi Wagon. I am pretty familiar with aggressive fitments but I am only starting to become familiar with E60s, especially in xi trim. I plan on doing a M5 front fender/bumper conversion, I will also have the fenders rolled or cut prior to paint so there will be a lot more outward clearance compared to a stock setup. I am primarily concerned with the inner spacing and have a couple specific questions.
1. The AWD E60s require a higher offset due to the hub being pushed outward by the awd system. Are the struts and other suspension components pushed out further along with it?
2. Does anyone know the maximum width/highest offset combo you can run before contacting the strut? I have seen a few fun 20x9 et35 with no problem, this has been the widest rim/highest offset combo I have found so far.
3. Anyone running KW V3? Are you familiar with the change in clearance versus stock (non sport) struts?
Also, I attached a picture my current car because everyone loves pictures. Also, my car is listed in the classifieds!

1) I have no idea, I'm not familiar with the AWD E60 suspension.
2) Same here.
3) My friend has KW V3 in his AWD E61 and I had KW Street Comfort coilovers in my ex-ride (RWD E60). The lower spring plate sits about an inch lower in KWs than in OEM struts. Therefore the space between the tyre and the strut is smaller, at least in RWDs and I'm pretty sure it's the same with AWD E60/61s. I can ask my friend about this.
