Max distance travelled on a single tank

I know the diesel owners can really brag here, but it would be nice to get a comparison of the different models (petrol & diesel).
Not talking about ave mpg or l/100km but actual distance travelled on a single tank.

I just did 683km's on a long distance trip at an average 127km/hr. (had 10km range in the tank so filled up again).

I have just filled the tank 68.5 litres, and had done 498 miles from my previous fill up which meant an average mpg of 33. This is mainly motorway (freeway) miles with an average speed of 80 mph.

This is not a 'one off' bur t a regular return. No complaints

I'm pootling around at the minute, my 330 gives about 19 when I do this, the 535 is at 26mpg!!!

683km thats about 425 miles... averaging 80miles per hour...

the E60s tank is 18.5 gallon tank...

say u filled up 18gallons...

thats avg of 23.6 mpg... not good enough....

OPS...

Best ever done in the 545 is

294 miles averaged 18.65 mpg

Best done in any car is

417 averaged 33 mpg

910 KM... Tank almost empty... Almost only highway, at the speed of 130-140 km/h.. When I filled the tank later that evning, the computer said: 1089 km to empty tank
