I want to change out the kidney grilles and wanted to get opinions on matte black vs gloss black. My car is silver if that matters. Any pics would be great!

OEM glossy is good. The bezels are glossy with matte vertical ribs. Car color doesn't matter much, but these would look especially nice on your silver car.

I Love the gloss look and the vertical matte look on the OEM gloss grill.

I've the Gloss black grills but have kept my chrome slats on, gives a slightly different look to the front.

Go gloss, everybody here seems to love matte black even on black cars. Which I think just looks funny because the rest of the car isn't matte. Anyway go down to this link, they're having a sale, a new set is only about $80 shipped. I've seen used ones go for that much.

I checked the BMW link above and the lowest year they go to is 2005, my car is 2004, is it the same exact grill?

I called BMW in Toronto and the black grill both left and right is $90 each, so $180 CDN total.
