Make PDC more quiet? Volume settings?
#1
How can I make PDC more quiet? I'd like to adjust the volume. I don't have the menu in iDrive settings. Manual refers to something like "single drive" option. "Vehicles with single drive". I was not able to find out what's the single drive, but manual has a screenshot for PDC volume.
Volume knob and volume keys on the steering wheel do nothing when PDC is beeping.

I have seen some settings in the module trace files that looke like they control the volume of the PDC but I have not experimented with them to see if they actually work.
It looks like values can be set for about 7 different ranges as you approach an object (as I recall)

Stupid question and sorry if this has been tried but.... have you tried turning off the radio so its off, then putting the car in reverse and turning up the volume, to adjust how loud the PDC is? not tried it yet myself, but that is how it works for NAV, TA, Voice control etc?
I will give it a go tomorrow...

My PDC is very loud but it is significantly quieter when the radio is on, regardless of radio volume.
Radio off = very loud PDC; Radio on = just loud PDC
