Maintenance intervals
For those of you guys that are doing your own maintenance, what's your oil change interval? I will definitely not be following the BMW standard of 15K or every year.
My car has 49K at what mileage should I start changing the following:
Rear differential oil
Transmission fluid
Coolant
Sparks plugs
I'm not sure if the above are CBS and will show up the in iDrive. My next vehicle check is not due for another 27K.

For me, I change my change oil every 7,000ish miles. But I have to add about a half quart before then, when the i-drive meter shows only 3 notches... I drive the crap out of my car though. Not that I beat it, but I don't really care about gas mileage( I drive an 525i), and I love driving spirited. Not too sure on the other intervals.
I just took my car in for maintenance as it told me it needed an oil change... it started alerting right before 10k. Is the 15k number set in stone on other models or did it just detect it was time for service? Seem pretty spot on related to 10k.
That theory works if it was just in the USA but it isn't, no where else gets free maintenance (except maybe Canada) but are all still on the long life services. BMW have spent millions developing engines and the service schedules to go with those engines, the cars will be well knackered before the engines have worn out.
