Maintenance how to? Also what engine do I have?
Hi everyone I have a 2004 bmw 525i. I love the car and would like to do some maintenance on it. I have never worked on a bmw but I am mechanically inclined. Now I have the 2.5 engine with an automatic 6 speed transmission. What engine do I have? N54? Also is my current water pump electric or belt driven? Is there at good write ups on how to change it? Another thing I would like to change is my transmision fluid. What transmision do I have? Any good write ups on this also on how to change it? My car has 129,000 miles and would like to get 200k out of it so I tought of doing this for maintenance. Anything else that should be replaced? Thanks everyone.
