Maintenance chart for our cars?
we no longer have inspection 1 and 2. last vehicles to have this type of service were e46, e39, e53, e83, e85, e38. newer vehicles have something called a "vehicle check" service which are done approximately every other oil service. the checks that were part of inspection 1 and 2 are now integrated with oil services and vehicle checks. i.e. spark plugs done with every 3rd oil change, air filter replaced every 3rd oil change. etc.
Yep what he said ^. But my Indy still does it b/c it's good to find things & I think customers understand it's being done.
But if you are curious...

Funny thing is that my '05 X5 4.4 used the inspections i & ii. My '04 545 (same engine & trans) supposedly now doesn't? Hmm... Odd.
How often you flush & fill the coolant is up to you. The cost of doing it every 2-3 years is with it to me.

i bought my car with 103k on it and the first thing i did was spend $700 to do the tranny pan. considering i only drove 7k in the past year i probably shouldnt have jumped the gun and could have sold it before 120kish but it was better safe than sorry. the indy said there was crap in it and it needed done so it was better doing it early than when it couldnt be done at all.

What can happen if you leave the tranny oil there for a long time? Your tranny goes? Or starts shifting not as smoothly? Total noob at this...
metal flakes start to build up. oil gets dirty. after that long the pan kind of seals itself together. if you end up with an issue it doesnt come apart without breaking and then you need a tranny.
